I am NOT your average birth photographer.
Yes, I am a photographer; and yes, technically my job is to take photos and document your birth story as it pans out - usually this includes labour, birth, and baby’s first moments.
Many would think that my role is to be a *fly on the wall* … Ya know: come in, make myself as invisible as possible, take photos, leave.
BUT this isn’t me.
I absolutely cannot be a passive, discrete, documenting machine. I am part of your birth team. I am present. I am holding space for you and your birth partner. I am offering love & support. I am witnessing and validating your birth experience.
Why? Because Birth matters. Because YOU matter.... and your baby & your partner matter too. AND.... because how you perceive this birth experience is bigger than you can fathom right now.
So if you are considering hiring me, you should know that my number one priority as your birth photographer is NOT to take photos.

My priority, first and foremost, is to be a positive energy in your birth space. To support your choices, to offer love & patience, to share my experience & knowledge with you, and to hold space. Only then, when I am truly present, can I document your birth story authentically.
